Intro (Official Music Video) - J U N O - November 2020
J U N O approached me about making a music video for his then-upcoming album, Almost Never What It Seems. The original creative choice was to have him performing the song from his bicycle on the streets of the neighborhood he lived in while in college.
This video presented some interesting challenges that I really enjoyed finding our way through, which lead to this result. (I'll be writing a blog post that goes more in-depth of the behind the scenes - stay tuned). |

Behind The Door - Writer/Director: 2017 Houston 48 Hour Film Project
Behind The Door was produced as our entry to the 2017 Houston 48 Hour Film Project - it tells the story of a human trafficking victim who turns the tables on her captors.
We shot it in one 10 hour day after writing the script the night before and had to have the final edit turned in the following evening. It was a great whirlwind experience and and we learned a lot. |

Stop The Threat - Segment Writer/Producer/Director: 2012-2016
Stop The Threat is a half-hour long television program that discusses gun use in self defense situations. My role on the project was to write, produce and direct (and many other hats) the dramatized reenactment segments in the show. I came on board in season 2 and stayed with the show until its hiatus after producing season 8.

About Me
Thomas Meek graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Television and Film production in 2011, and returned home to Houston where he started working at The Production Companies, Inc. (TPC) in early 2012.
Among many other projects at TPC, Thomas held a writer/director role on the nationally broadcast Stop The Threat, since Season 2 in 2012, producing, writing, and directing (and shooting and editing) the dramatized reenactment segment of the show. Stop The Threat wrapped post production on its 8th season in late 2016 and was awarded a People's Telly for an episode in almost every season. Thomas also volunteers to direct and stage manage theatrical productions at Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) with favorites being No Sex Please, We're British (Director), The Tempest (Stage Manager), A Flea in Her Ear (Stage Manager), A Christmas Carol (Director), and Kiss Me Kate (Stage Manager). Thomas also has been managing CCCT's social video content, producing and shooting much of it, including trailers, recorded scenes and behind the scenes content. In the spare time away from TPC, CCCT, and various freelance work, Thomas has also been writing, producing and directing some of his own original work along with some other writers, and currently has two short films in post production as well as a documentary series in early development.
